Abby and her Cobb Atlanta Next volleyball team won their first match. They won all three games! Way to go girls! I’ll post pictures soon.

So, how sad is it when when your daughter is struggling with a school assignment, you go to help, you spend 45 minutes working on getting the format they way she wants it, only to discover the content of the biography poem she wrote mentions dad, stepmom, and fraternal grandfather but not mom. Ouch.

Abby has decided she wants to try volleyball.  Cool!  The only issue is her games will be the same time as my tennis practice.  I’ll post pictures from her first game.  Wish us luck!

It’s pretty easy to say I’ve been in limbo for quite a while.  Limbo in what…. you might ask?  Limbo in many different areas and just as many reasons.  Well, I’m finally trying to get out of that rut.

First, like so many others…..weight.  I’ve started yet another attempt at losing weight. So far I’m down 6 lbs.  It’s not much but it’s something.  I’ve given up my caffeine habit too.  Water for Everyone!

Next, I’ve started going to church again.  I probably should have put this first.  It’s church that I believe has given me the strength to make some much needed changes.  I’ve been going to Watermarke Church in Canton.  I like the messages, the people, and the complete atmosphere.  Abby likes the student ministry too. Extra Bonus!

Now to the relationship limbo.  There are too many reasons for this one.  I finally made a change there too.  I was able to speak up and say something things that needed to be said for me.  I stood up for myself.  I don’t like confrontation it was hard but it had to be done.

That leads us to the unknown change.  You know…the domino effect. You nudge/knock over one block which leads to different results; good, bad or indifferent often unexpected.  You always expect something from change but often what happens is completely out of the realm of thought.  There is no-way to tell what to expect. Sometimes multiple reactions happen from one little nudge, sometimes nothing happens.  There were changes I expected to happen 2-3 years ago.  I had to abandon those expectations due to the lack of movement in that direction. On the flip side, changes I made 8 days ago are picking up momentum.  I don’t know what the future holds.  Time will tell.
